I’d need to determine that absolute source of it first still, and I don’t want to go doing much because of the assumed fore-mentioned live site status. If this is a dev site that you’re still working on, I’ll not worry about it so much, but I want to get that confirmed first before I do anything else.

So I have determined that there are javascript issues going on, and that’s what’s powering your audio embeds as well. Due to the issues, the execution of the rest of the javascript is stopped.

Just as a question, when you were first setting everything up with BadgeOS, did you do anything like shortcode embeds or whatnot before realizing there was the conflict? Or had you only activated, and instantly realized there was the issue?

I’m trying to not do any changes since I assume it’s a live site with actual visitors, so I don’t want to ruin their experience.

    Hi Carl,

It’s hard to determine what is going on, but my initial hunch is possibly something with ajax and javascript. Is there any way you’d be willing to let me into your WP admin so that I could debug what’s going on first hand?

Any news on this one Matt? Would love to get it figured out and resolved for you.

Some of these are already built in to what BadgeOS has, one or two I believe could be handled by one of our available extensions here on badgeos.org, but a number of them would need to be custom triggers. You’d also need to find a way to keep track of them so you know when you should award.

Some of the ones I can see offhand that’d need custom work:
    Sharing a page via jetpack
    tweeting specified tags
    profile completion amount
    upgrading

A number of the clicking ones could possibly be covered by the Referring Links addon, https://badgeos.org/downloads/referring-link/, but I would need to investigate a bit closer to figure out exactly how to tie them together, and depending on your need, it may require very specific links per award, instead of “click any ____”, unless you used the same referral code on each.

There’s room for flexibility I believe.

Depending on how many users you have, it may be slightly tedious. However, if you go in and edit their user profile, via the WP-Admin, your administrators will see a list of current achievements, their current point total, and a small form to manually award achievements as well. You can also remove achievements if necessary. The point field will be editable just like the rest of their profile fields, so you can append the point total there. Just save the profile changes after that.

Hi David, the only shortcode presently missing on that support page you provided is the “Credly Assertion” shortcode, the rest should all be accurate still.

The [badgeos_list_achievements] shortcode should provide what you need too. If you don’t specify the “type” attribute, then it’s going to show all of the available ones. I believe setting the limit to “-1” should bypass the default of 10, if I’m not mistaken.

    Hope that helps 🙂

I have the login creds in my inbox still, but there’s many sites in the multisite and was looking to have it narrowed down to which one is having the issue. Unless it’s all of them?

If it is, I’d be surprised. Based on all of my EDD experience, it doesn’t 🙂

Like I said above, I know you’re still legit till mid-september’s renewal time.

Not sure at the moment, you should be good and valid till this september, based on your purchase details for the reports addon. Could you paste your license key for it in a private reply? or if you prefer, email it to michael@webdevstudios.com so I could confirm it there?

Edit: as an aside, since we know you’re still valid for a couple months, we would find a way to get you any updates we publish before then, as the license key is only meant to activate update checks/downloads. We know you’re a legit customer and wouldn’t deny support or anything.

in reply to: Outbound Links? #4283

I believe those may be just some fields for a url an <a> tag text to help them return to where they possibly were before they clicked the link, assuming it’s a controlled environment where you planned where the referral links were meant to be used and would know for sure what the url is. This is likely one that you can use in place of auto-redirect like the field right below it. The first part would be good if you want to give them a chance to read/review etc and then quickly return to where they were, with the auto-redirect being instantaneous.

Hi Matt, this and your outbound links replies showed up. Hopefully followup ones do too.

Regarding this one, it’s really difficult to say, and I’m hesitant to say yes, because of the fact that WordPress only has 1 users/usermeta table even in multisite, as well as the fact that I doubt we have the plugin to set up tracking per subsite. Reworking it to do that would be a bit of an undertaking as well, going all the way back to the core plugin.

Hope this makes sense, but as always, ask for clarification where needed or more questions that arise.

Which network site is this issue in?

Hi Matt, yes, please send some credentials to michael@webdevstudios.com

Also, are you in the middle of any active courses where I need to be even more careful with what I click? Or are you in between at the moment?

Note: this is something that trickles down to BadgeOS core, not the leaderboard extension.

Hi Denis, thank you for the video. With visuals of what you did, I was able to recreate and confirm the issue. We are on US holiday tomorrow, so it may be a few days before we really get our developers back around. Once we are all back, we’ll look into a possible bugfix release.

If you need me to, I can walk you through with a quick fix that will solve the issue.

We’re going to need more information than this to even begin to debug what may have gone on.

What WordPress version, what version of BadgeOS, what versions of any other BadgeOS related extensions are installed and active.

Also details on exactly what the user did and where. Is this a custom frontend for a profile? is this domain.com/wp-admin/profile.php for their own profile via the WP admin? Is this some sort of “updating their profile” if not what I mention above.

Can you turn on “Debug mode” via BadgeOS > Settings and then go visit the user’s profile and copy/paste the resulting output provided towards the bottom. Example from my test site(recently reset though, look for similar output):

    DEBUG MODE ENABLED
    Metadata value for: _badgeos_achievements

    array (size=0)
      empty

    Hi Sheri,

sorry for the delay in response today. To help make sure I’m checking in the right areas, what methods have you tried regarding sending the achievements sent to credly? The ones that are failing you and not the ones that are manual. For instance, with the widget, when you hover over achievements that are able to be sent to Credly and click the icon that appears, it’s not doing anything noticeable nor showing up in your credly account? Or perhaps some other way that’s slipping my mind at the moment?

Do you have any screenshots or links that I could see to get a better idea of what’s happening?

Also is this “Code” bit something that I coded up custom to solve an issue for someone on the forum here? or could you clarify what you mean there?
