    Just an FYI…I had this issue. I had to update PHP to 7.1 to get it to work.

    I ended cloning the site to a dev setup and I found that if I deleted the old point set-up of completing a quiz and set-up a new points item to completing a lesson I could get the points to add again. If I tried using completed quiz or passed quiz with % it wouldn’t work.
