I know that you guys are aware of this issue. I’m just checking in on the forum to see if there is a fix insight. Please let me know if I can provide any info that might help.
    Thank you!

    Thanks Michael-
Do you think this is still the issue considering I’ve got the number of users down to 450?

Also, can you think of some kind of work around?

I’m in desperate need of having the reports show achievements based on users. Our teachers are relying on this as a way to track what each student has completed.

I’m happy to explore some kind of custom work. In fact, I submitted a request for a custom solution but have not heard back.

    thank you!

Hi Michael- Below is the response from Lightning Base. Will this help give you an idea of the problem. I’ve reduced the number of users down to 450 as I had a great many spam users.
I really need this functionality as I have many teachers using the site and need to track their students progress. I’d be willing to explore some custom work from BadgeOS as well. In fact a few weeks back I made a request via your website but no one responded to me.
    From Lightning Base:

“We’ve spent quite a while looking into this tonight. From what I can see, when the active users report is loaded, the database query effectively runs forever. PHP processes sit there waiting for it, and each of those issues can take down the site.

We did some experimenting but I don’t think this is something we can fix. My guess is that the report would be fine on most sites, but yours is extraordinarily complex, so it’s hard to say what it might be interacting with. There are numerous complex plugins installed, Multisite, and a >2.5 GB database. My suspicion is that having over 3000 users and a ~40 MB usermeta table is causing the query to take forever. But it could also be something related to all the other plugins. they might be interacting in a way that prevents the query from running properly.

I’m happy to look into this further if you or the developer has any thoughts / suggestions, but don’t know where else to go from here.”

Thanks for this Michael. The folks at Lightningbase are pretty knowledgeable. I’ll pass this along to them.

    Hi Mike-
The site is back up running normally. The host performed a server migration yesterday and I think they are working out the kinks.

I’m able to access user pages etc.

Everything had been working normally about an hour ago.
I’m seeing the same issue now.

I assume you didn’t change anything. I’m contacting the host now.

(One note, the site has been working normally for sometime but the Active Users Reports hasn’t worked in several weeks.)

I’ll get back to you asap.

    Hi Michael-
Still no luck with this I’m afraid. It simply loads a white blank screen.

    How should we proceed?

OK, that’s fine as long as you don’t think it’s effecting my other issue with Reports.

    Thanks

Thanks Michael. This didn’t seem to make any difference for me. I commented out those lines and still when I go to the individual achievement page the featured image is displayed at the top.

    Any other ideas?

    Thank you

    Hi Michael-
Thanks for helping with this. See:

    http://www.yciw.net/badges/

You can click on any badge.

The display of the achievements in lists is fine. The problem is having the Featured Image displayed at the top of the actual achievement page.

Here is a page with the achievements displayed using the short code:

    Thank you!

#1 was resolved as there were commas included in the point total.

I see on your gitHub that you mention an “Earned Achievements Widget” but I can’t seem to find it on WordPress. Is this available?

    Thank you!
    Matt
