    I was able to fix this. Probably not the right way, but it worked. I modified steps-ui.js, line 91. Instead of ajaxurl, I hard coded ‘/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php’ in there and it started to work. I originally tried to modify where ajaxurl was defined, but I couldn’t get that change to take affect. This is a mulit-site install using subfolders, and for some reason the subfolder install could’t find the admin-ajax.php script. I have another problem, but I’ll post it over in the WordPress support site.

    First – I’m very sorry for posting in the wrong forum, I was confused on where to post the issue! But thank you for addressing my question anyway.

    Here is the error message I get when pressing the “Add New Step” button.
