    Sounds good. Thanks!

I would, but I no longer have the WordPress site up. When I ran out of time I just spun up a set of splash pages to talk about the badges, and then just out to Credly for the badging.

I would like to setup a new site in another couple weeks once our MOOC is done. Are you saying that with a fresh install the keys should work?

If you don’t want to get too specific that’s fine, but are they just tied to the URL or are they also tied to a one time use; such that if we tried to use them again on a fresh install of the WordPress and BadgeOS that they wouldn’t work. That was my assumption at the time.

Yes that sounds about right. I only need one valid Activity Codes and Reports, as I only have one site that I’m working with. The renewal and new license was because the first one did not work when I attempted to do a fresh install of WordPress. I was under a time crunch at that time, so I was just trying to get anything to work.

Refunds on the renewal and new license from the 29th would be ideal, but I’ll just settle really for a set of working keys for the Activity Codes and Reports add-ons.

    Thanks,
    Dean

I purchased the following for use on a single site (badges.elmhurst.edu):

    – Activity Codes ($75) on March 26th
    – Reports ($95) on March 27th

When I had difficulties with the Activity Codes add-on transmitting the badge to Credly I did a total reinstall of WordPress, and found that the code no longer worked. Because of that I purchased the following in hopes that it would re-activate the code:

    – Activity Codes License Key Renewal ($56.25) on March 29th

When that did not work I purchased the following additional license:

    – Activity Codes ($75) on March 29th

As of this point (March 31st) I am not using any of these licenses. The main reason behind not using Reports is because it would never activate in WordPress, and the reason behind Activity Codes was because it did not transmit the activated badge over to the user’s Credly account.

What I’d like to do is have these licenses reset, so I can use them on a future site. I don’t need multiple site licenses, as I am only intending to use them on one site; but because they’ve already been activated on a site I am no longer going to be using them on – because they wouldn’t work for me at the time – I suspect I won’t be able to use them.

I am not looking for a refund, just simply new codes so that when I get back to building out a fully compatible BadgeOS site (excluding Credly from the picture) that I can use them.

    Thanks,
    Dean

Thanks! The purpose behind us wanting to use Credly is because of its central repository, backpack, feature. In the MOOC the College is running we want to highlight the use of badges as rewards for completing modules, but we don’t want them to be solely tied to the College for these badges; thus the use of Credly if that makes sense.

With that said, my plan is to experiment with creating a self-contained system with the various BadgeOS add-ons, along with LearnDash to see if I can replicate the MOOC platform in a WordPress environment and have the badges self-contained.

Next question, are the licenses specific to a site / install of WordPress? As I start to work on this other idea I will want to setup a new URL, but I don’t want to need to purchase new licenses; as we are not going to be using them on the current site – that will be handled just with Credly.

Hope that all makes sense. And again, thanks for all your support so far with this matter!

Me too, but I will try to circle back in about 4 weeks as that’s how long our MOOC is going to run. After that we’ll have a break, and I’ll be able to investigate this again. The academic in me even wants to see if I can take our MOOC and run it fully out of WordPress with BadgeOS to facilitate the badging instead of Credly, but for now that’s purely an academic exercise.

Thanks again for all your assistance!

Thanks for the follow up. I had that email from you sometime ago, and had responded to you directly; but since I did not hear from you I have moved on to Plan B. I would like to reconnect at sometime to troubleshoot the BadgeOS / Activity Code not passing over to Credly, but at this time I need to have something working for Sunday and this will not be it.

I thank you again for all your support so far, but unfortunately my timetable is catching up to me. Maybe we can circle back in a few days, but for now I need to move on to just a straight Credly implementation for my immediate needs.

That did as far as removing the API key, but it still was not working. Because of that I recreated the entire WordPress site, and when I tried to apply the key I had it failed. Thus making me go get a new one.

In case that’s not possible, I went a head and tried to renew the code; but that did not work. I then purchased a new one. At some point, and maybe offline of this forum I’d like to talk about a possible refund.

Just needed to get this working, as I have to have this implemented for Sunday. Thanks!

How do I generate a new license key for the add-on. I reinstalled WordPress totally, and now the code does not work. I’m assuming maybe it’s a one time thing, so I’m wondering how I can get a new key generated for my site.

I just realized that we are still on the Free version of Credly, so I’m wondering if this can only be done via the Pro version. And is that where I would go to regenerate the API key, that being at Credly?

Yes I am, how can I get you the username/password to look at?

I too am getting this same error using WP 3.8.1 and the latest version of the plugin.
